P. Diddy is back to "Making the Band"

P.Diddy is back to "Making the Band" - this time, with all women. For three seasons, P. Diddy - aka Sean Combs - developed the now disbanded hip-hop ensemble Da Band in the show's second incarnation. During the first season of "Making the Band 2," Puffy and his Bad Boy Entertainment team searched the country to construct the music group while the second and third seasons chronicled Da Band on the road and in the studio. But Da Band received da ax at the end of the third season when P. Diddy disbanded the group. "We watched P. Diddy work magic with his last group Da Band, who despite their issues working together, still managed to take their very first album gold," said MTV Series Entertainment Executive Vice President Lois Curren. "We can't wait to see what he has in store for us as he forms a girl group in a whole new music genre." This won't be P. Diddy's first time crafting an all-girl pop group. He was the mastermind behind Dream, a pop quartet who sang the hit "He Loves Me Not."Auditions for singers and musicians for the as-yet-unnamed group are scheduled for the first two weeks in October in Los Angeles, Miami and New York City. The third installment of "Making the Band" will premiere next year.

'The Simple Life'

Feuding ex-friends Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie will take "Simple Life" to E! Entertainment Television in a new format that allows them to have nothing to do with each other.

Fox had declined to air a fourth season of the one-time reality hit, but E! said Monday it would show 10 new episodes starting next spring.

The series' initial charm was the humor of spoiled, bratty rich girls interacting with real people and each other. But the two had a falling out, with Hilton saying last spring they were no longer friends, although not explaining what led to it.

Britney And Baby

Just two months after BRITNEY SPEARS gave birth — and one month after photos of her baby leaked onto the Internet — the pop star is posing with her new family for the cover of this week's People magazine.

The move comes just in time to promote her new album,B in the Mix : The Remixes, which hit stores this week (see "Surprise: Britney's Releasing An Album In Just Two Weeks").

The People story, on stands Friday, details the Federline family's plans to celebrate Thanksgiving, from watching the Macy's Thanksgiving parade on television to spending the afternoon hanging out and eating such Southern-style dishes as cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, sweet potato crunch, broccoli casserole, pecan pie and bread pudding. After the feast, they plan to get guests to help out with
CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS around the house. "I already started putting up a few of the decorations myself because I couldn't wait!" the singer told the mag.
